About Chelsey Love, RD
Hi!
I'm Chelsey Love. I grew up in Charlottetown, PEI where I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition at the University of Prince Edward Island. I then completed a 1 year dietetic internship program in Edmonton, Alberta, and now I'm proud to call Calgary home. I'm a Registered Dietitian under the College of Dietitians of Alberta, and a member of Dietitians of Canada. I've been practicing as a dietitian since 2010 and absolutely love what I do.
As a regulated health professional, I keep up-to-date with the latest nutrition science. My goal during consultations is to help educate, motivate, and support each individual to help them achieve their goals. My focus is meal planning, weight loss, heart health, and emotional eating. Whether you'd like help with weight loss or gain, improve your blood pressure, cholesterol, digestion, or increase your energy levels and feel your best - I can help you achieve your ultimate health.
My nutrition 'style' is simple, realistic, fun, and sustainable. I promote real food from your market or grocery store - no gimmicks, fad diets, or restrictive eating. Healthy eating should also be enjoyable, so you can continue your healthy lifestyle...for life.
A little more about me...my favourite "job" is Mom to baby Madelyn, and wife to my husband, Jonny. I love spending time outdoors, hitting a spin or yoga class, skiing, watching hockey & basketball, and just relaxing at home with a cold beer. I’ve run 8 half marathons (before Maddie!) and plan to do a full someday. I lost my father, my hero, John, suddenly in 2013 from cardiac arrest, which is one of the reasons why heart health is so important to me.
I can't wait to meet you and have a small part in your healthy journey. Let's aim for progress, not perfection - together.
